Getting to know Ses Covetes
A small coastal settlement at the western end of Es Trenc: a few houses, a beach restaurant and a paid car park.
There is little village to explore, but it offers the shortest access to the western stretch of beach.
What happened to the unfinished apartments?
The unfinished apartment blocks beside the beach were demolished in 2013. The land was then restored. Visiting the concrete shells is no longer an option; older descriptions and photographs can be misleading.
The Balearic government documents the demolition and restoration.
Practical details
The car park is often full early in summer. Arrive later and it is better to try one of the other two access points.
There is a restaurant at the beach. For more choice, Sa Ràpita is five minutes away.

When to come
April and October are good choices. In winter, businesses close and the beach is deserted.
