What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link takes you to an external provider, such as a travel, hotel or car hire website. If you make a booking through one, the provider may pay Mallorca Fritz a commission.

The partner pays that commission; it is not charged to you separately. The provider decides the booking’s prices, terms and services. Check those details on its website before booking.

On the German pages, affiliate offers are clearly labelled Werbung — advertising — beside the offer itself, before you click.

The recommendation comes first

An affiliate link must never influence the editorial assessment. It belongs only where the offer fits the advice already given.

For example, a car hire link can appear only where a car is considered necessary or useful. If a place profile says you can comfortably manage without one, it does not carry that car hire offer.

If Mallorca Fritz advises against a booking, it does not earn anything from that booking. The website’s rules enforce this separation.

What advertising cannot buy

• A place in the guide. No town, hotel, restaurant or attraction is included because someone paid for it.
• A favourable review. Assessments, recommendations and month-by-month ratings are independent of possible advertising partners.
• A higher position. Places appear on the home page, region pages and monthly guides according to their content and seasonal suitability, not potential commission.
• An advertisement disguised as a tip. Affiliate links are labelled and kept separate from editorial content.

Who runs Mallorca Fritz?

What happens when you follow an affiliate link?

Simply displaying an affiliate link does not load the partner’s website. Clicking it connects your browser to the external provider. Connection data such as your IP address, the time, browser and device information and the source of the click may then be transmitted. A tracking identifier may allow a later booking to be attributed to Mallorca Fritz.
